Clearing the Path: Three Foundational Keys to Unlock Your Intuitive Gifts

Five years ago, Blooming Wand began with simple tarot readings. Today, as we celebrate this milestone, I'm reflecting on the powerful journey that's transformed both my practice and the community we've built together. What started as card readings has evolved into evidential mediumship, intuitive healing, life coaching, and ancestral medicine work—all aimed at providing you with the highest level of spiritual support and guidance.
The most remarkable pattern I've noticed over these years is how certain fundamental elements consistently emerge as either barriers or gateways to intuitive development. It's not about learning more techniques or collecting more divination tools—it's about creating the right conditions for your natural intuition to flourish. That's why I'm thrilled to announce a special three-part newsletter series beginning on the August full moon and continuing through October.
Each full moon, you'll receive an in-depth exploration of one crucial foundation: understanding your essential needs (August), establishing healthy boundaries (September), and transforming limiting beliefs (October). These aren't just concepts to contemplate—each newsletter comes with practical worksheets, expanded blog content, and spiritual practices designed to help you integrate these principles into your daily life. As the Chariot card that appeared for this journey suggests, when we align these internal forces, we create unstoppable momentum in our spiritual growth.
I'm also excited to share that I'm creating my first Oracle deck specifically designed to support intuitive development. It's still in the early stages, but I can't wait to bring this visual and tactile tool to life as another resource for our community.
Whether you're a longtime member of the Blooming Wand family or just discovering this work, I invite you to join this three-month journey. Subscribe to the newsletter at bloomingwand.com, follow the podcast, or connect on YouTube to receive these free resources. Your presence, trust, and willingness to grow have made these five years possible—this is my way of giving back to you. Get your journals ready, and let's clear the path to your intuitive wisdom together.

Blooming Wand's Fifth Birthday Reflection
Speaker 1Hey friends, welcome to Blooming Wand. I'm Emily O'Neill, evidential Psychic Medium, Intuitive Healer and Coach, and on this episode, which I'm calling Clearing the Path Essential Tools for Intuitive Development, I'm going to talk about just a few things that we've got going on here at Blooming Wand. So, in honor of Blooming Wand's fifth birthday I can't believe that I'm saying that Blooming Wand's been around for five years it's definitely been a passion project for me and I am just sort of taking a second to reflect on everything that's happened in the last five years. A lot has happened socially, globally, within my community, but also just with myself. I started out giving free tarot readings and now I'm an evidential psychic medium, certified life coach. I've worked to do some training in ancestral medicine techniques. So many things, so many investments have been made into Blooming One so that I can provide you with a high level of care and support, and I hope that you really feel that when you connect with me or my services or my free tools and guides. So, starting on the August full moon and ending on the October full moon, I'm going to be launching a three-part monthly newsletter series that's going to share the top three things that consistently emerge in readings, mentoring sessions and just five years of full and new moon tarot curated content. If you get my newsletter, you know what I'm talking about. For five years, on every full and new moon, I would pull tarot cards or oracle cards or a combination of both and curate some self-care and spiritual insights that we could journey with through the moon cycle. And the intention was to explore a variety of topics, journal with them and really use tarot and symbolic imagery as a tool for self-reflection and as a spiritual practice.
Speaker 1So I've pulled from all those years of writing those newsletters and you know I will admit that as I wrote them, especially in the last year or so, I'm like gosh. You know I keep coming around to the same things over and over and over again so as a way to give back to the community and sort of share what I've learned working with people and developing my own skills and abilities, just putting out there the things that have become kind of themes in the work that we do here at Blooming One. So what this means is that each month on the full moon. So we're going to get one newsletter for the next three months because they're going to be a little bit more dense and have a little bit more tools for you to work with, so you're probably going to need to spend more time with them. So on each full moon you'll get a newsletter with content that is inspired by all of you and your journeys. They will be a little bit longer. They'll probably also have an associated blog that has the resources that I'm referencing and just where what other people are thinking bibliography, that kind of thing. But I've also created worksheets for you guys and I think they're going to be I don't know. I love a worksheet because it helps me break things down into meaningful bites that I can digest and sort of take things on board in a more systematic way. So they're going to have all those things newsletter, blog, often a poem or prayer that will accompany the thought or idea that we're working with, and also a worksheet. So it's lots of stuff that you're going to get in that month, so, but I have a very strong following with my newsletter, so I love to write and I feel like my community likes to read and write probably as well, since that seems to be one of the most popular things that I put out there. The podcast does really well too, and I'm grateful for both of those things, but I just think that that's kind of interesting that our community tends to like to listen and likes to write and likes to read. So that's why I try to create content in those three main areas.
Essential Topics: Needs, Boundaries, Beliefs
Speaker 1So let's get to the good stuff. The three topics that we're going to explore are understanding your essential needs. That has been profound for me and I'm tempted to dive into it right now, but hold that thought, because we're going to be diving into that in August. The second is going to be healthy boundaries. I don't know about all of you, but I had no clue what boundaries were. Nobody taught them to me. I didn't know how to say no. I didn't even know what it meant to cultivate boundaries within my own life until when I was working on my life coaching certification. We had a section on that and we did a lot of reading around it and I was like this is life changing and my, frankly, number one resource is Set Boundaries, Find Peace. I always keep one close by. By Nedra Glover-Tawwab I might be mixing up the names there, but I have all her books.
Speaker 1I think that they're really helpful. They're simple, they're well-written, so I'll be taking sort of what I learned from reading her books and how I was able to apply that into my life, with some practical examples. And again, worksheet will come with that, a newsletter and a pretty extensive blog post to kind of dive more deeply into what the heck are boundaries? It's such a buzzword right now. We hear it all the time Like I'm going to need to set boundaries. What the heck does that mean for you at this point in your life? Because one of the things I'll just offer right now is that boundaries are not stagnant. They can change and some of them will hold firm for probably quite a long time, but there are others that will be refined and shift and move, and I think that's okay. It's part of being human.
Oracle Deck Creation Announcement
Speaker 1The other, third and final topic so August, we're going to do August, september, october, so this will be October's topic is going to be recognizing limiting beliefs, and it's interesting because these were inspired by the tarot and there are a lot of tarot cards especially in the suit of sorts that I feel like often speak to having limiting beliefs and there are tarot cards that talk about needing to set boundaries and there are tarot cards about getting back to what's essential. So you know, it's that connection between we talk about life topics. Yes, I'm a tarot reader and an evidential medium, but these are the things that we talk about a lot in session or that come up Because, as the phrase I always like to say people be peopling. We're trying to live our lives and do so in a way that feels aligned and healthy and supportive, but the reality is is that that it doesn't always feel like that and sometimes we have to learn and grow and put some effort into things to, you know, get that sense of being fulfilled and aligned with our authentic selves. So super cool stuff over the next three months. It is my way of providing some freebies to the community and resources to maybe new people who are thinking about working with me, and I'd love to hear from you as we progress through the three months. You'll be able to find this stuff not only in my newsletter and, by the way, if you haven't signed up, you can do so at bloomingwandcom but on the podcast, on this YouTube channel and, you know, a little bit on social media, probably Instagram and Facebook, but that will be probably far more minimal, to be honest, but those are the pathways of connection. Right now.
Speaker 1I also want to share some kind of big news also a little bit scary that I'm going to be creating my first Oracle deck, which I've really specifically designed to support your intuitive development, so connecting with your intuitive self. And I'm in the beginning phases and you know, honestly, I have no clue how this is going to go or where it's going to go. But it just sort of came to me that I've done all of this writing and there are themes and what I've discovered through the work that I've been doing over the last five years is that it would work really well in an Oracle deck and support people's self-care and spiritual practices. So I'm in the beginning phases. I don't know when this will be ready or how it will turn out, but I am really in the thick of it right now, working hard on it, and I am working with a designer who's going to help me bring this to life visually. I've written the deck, I've got everything ready for the booklet and now it's just more of getting the design elements in place, getting it to a printer, finding a printer, all that good stuff. So I'll keep you guys updated, I'll keep you folks updated on how that's going and I'm excited to share it with you, though. Now, on another note, I was thinking like gosh, all these announcements are coming up about, kind of the three-month journey that we're going to be on, plus I'm building this Oracle deck. Plus it's Blooming Wand's birthday, oracle deck. Plus it's Blooming Wand's birthday.
Speaker 1My business, blooming Wand, is a Leo. I think that's interesting, and I am very not Leo, I am an Aquarius. So I think it's funny how the birth of my business happened in sort of an opposing, at a totally different energy point. If you like to think about your businesses as having birthdays I do and that they probably are also associated with a zodiac sign and what that might mean for you, it's kind of a fun way to feel into how, while you might be the creator of the business, the business isn't you, and kind of sometimes our businesses have their own personalities which I can tell you. I think that there's something to that, personalities which I can tell you. I think that there's something to that.
The Chariot Card: Guidance Forward
Speaker 1But anyway, moving on, I thought it would be fun to pull a card in support of these announcements and guess what? You're never going to guess. The card we got and this doesn't surprise me is the chariot from the tarot of the golden wheel. You can see that alignment, that energy, that effort, things moving forward, maybe moving forward kind of quickly, but I thought that was so interesting to pull the chariot and it kind of made me feel like buckle up you guys, or buckle up Emily, we are going to have a lot going on. So what a perfect archetype of the determined forward movement and inner alignment that's kind of appeared to guide our three-month journey together.
Speaker 1And I feel like the chariot reminds us that true progress happens when we harness our inner forces. So our needs, our boundaries, our beliefs kind of the topics we're going to be talking about over the three months and we direct them with clear intention. So, just as the charioteer has to balance opposing energies to move forward, we too have to integrate, like some foundational elements, boundaries, knowing what our essentials are, where our limiting beliefs might be and how we can refine those beliefs from maybe limiting to more of a growth mindset. But we can lean into these things to create some sustainable momentum in our life and in our spiritual growth. So the chariot does encourage us to take the reins over the next three months of our own development with confidence and purpose, which is in complete alignment with the intention of this three-part series. So I'm really tickled to see the cherry. It will be journeying with us over the next couple of months.
Connecting Intuition to Personal Foundations
Speaker 1So to bring this all together, how does this connect to intuitive development and the values at Blooming Wand? Long and short of it is that your intuition thrives when you create the right conditions for it to flourish. So understanding your essential needs helps you recognize what your inner wisdom is guiding you toward, because you can't follow authentic guidance you know from within if you don't know what truly nourishes you or what really matters to you. And it might seem like obvious that we should know that, but I can tell you that from societal conditioning or trauma or those life events, I really stuffed that way deep down for a long time, and it really wasn't until I was able to maybe not operate from survival mode so much that I was like, oh my gosh, I've been doing all of these things not from a place of authenticity but from a place of I have to, I have to survive, I have to get by. And when I, through therapy and a lot of other self-work, was able to ground into my true needs and desires, things really shifted and changed for me. It doesn't mean all my problems were solved, but I started to know who I was and I stopped doing things that didn't feel like me.
Speaker 1Now, moving on to healthy boundaries these create energetic space necessary for clear intuitive reception by filtering out external noise and others projections. So if we can't honor our personal boundaries, when we move into spiritual development or even working as a psychic or a medium, we can find ourselves taking on other people's problems or not setting healthy boundaries with clients or within the business. But if we're so worried about what other people think and what other people are doing or trying to people please a ton, it's we're. Basically. Those are behaviors that are going to move us away from our intuitive self. So we're going to dive really deeply into that and it's because boundaries really are connected to being able to honor your intuition.
Speaker 1Now the third and final one, which is one I've been sitting with for a long time and I'm kind of moving it to the end because I just feel like I need to work with it a little bit more, but it's about identifying limiting beliefs bit more, but it's about identifying limiting beliefs. And when we do so, basically identifying limiting beliefs clears the mental chatter that often drowns out subtle intuitive messages, allowing you to trust what you're receiving rather than second guessing yourself into paralysis. So limiting beliefs are these like loops or thoughts or phrases that say, well, this is just how it is, or I don't have it that bad, or that that will never be possible for me, and really believing them? And sometimes, you know, maybe some of those thought loops do have some truth to them, but a lot of them are just things we say to ourselves, and they're probably there for good reason, but we don't have to carry them forward anymore if we don't want to. So when these three foundations are solid, your intuitive abilities naturally expand, because you're no longer fighting against yourself. You're creating alignment between your conscious mind and your deeper knowing, and that's really a core value.
Resources and Gratitude to Community
Speaker 1Here at Blooming, wanda is helping people connect to their intuitive self, and I can tell you in doing this work again, these are the top three things that come up. You know, emily, like I know, I had this intuitive nudge, but I just ignored it Because I just don't believe that I could ever move my life in, you know, that direction or whatever. Well, there's a limiting belief there and while in maybe like a one-off reading with a practitioner a tarot practitioner or a evidential psychic medium or others. They might point those things out to you, which is great, but then what do you do with that? It's like, well, now that I know like I don't even how do I process that, how do I move forward, how do I work with that? And that's really where I come in.
Speaker 1Like I've always wanted to provide people with tools and resources after a session because I felt like gosh, we just talked about some deep stuff going on and you know, what are you going to do, do with all that information? And when I got my very first tarot reading at 19, I really did get kind of a big, important reading that changed my life, but I didn't know how to integrate it. There were things that came up and I'm like I don't. I don't understand how what that means, things like boundaries, you know, and some of the other stuff that we've talked about. So, which is, in turn, why I've created the mentoring program, so that people have a pathway to explore these things if they feel comfortable with me, and we've built trust, maybe in other sessions. But a lot of people just sign up for the mentoring program without having had a one-off session, probably because they've already had a lot of them and kind of want to go a little bit deeper. So all exciting stuff.
Speaker 1Stay tuned. If you're not subscribed on YouTube or your favorite podcast streaming service, do so If you're not signed up for the newsletter. It's a great resource and I do love the Blooming Wand community so much, and thank you for being with me for five years. Some of you have been with me from the very, very beginning. I remember it was your referrals that helped grow the business. You took a chance on me and then you shared it with your friends, and so over the next three months, sharing all these tools and resources is my way of giving back and offering gratitude, so I can't wait to share those resources with you, starting on August 9. In the meantime, take good care of yourselves, get your journals out, get ready, and I'll see you soon.
